Episode 6: “A Progressive Corporate Climb”
Tricia Griffith is the President, Chief Executive Officer and Director at Progressive Insurance. Prior to being named CEO in 2016, Tricia Griffith served as Personal Lines Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the Company’s Personal Lines, Claims and Customer Relationship Management groups.
Tricia is the quintessential American dream. Having joined Progressive 30 years ago as a Claims Representative, she continued on to many key leadership positions, including Human Resources Officer, Group President in charge of overseeing all claims functions, Personal Lines Chief Operating Officer, and President of Customer Operations. When asked what advice she would give to aspiring CEOs, her message is clear, “Focus on the job you’re doing now.”
Progressive’s stock prices are up 50%, profits have doubled, and their board leadership is at gender parity. “When you reach board parity, it is worth it from both a business and culture perspective.”
We are pleased to release this special episode with Fortune’s 2018 Businessperson of the Year, Tricia Griffith!
