Today, Tom serves as the Executive Chairman of Claigrid, Inc., a cloud AI personalization company, and Oorbit Gaming and Entertainment, as well as Chair of Creative Capital Ventures and Senior Advisor at Versant, the NBC cable channel spin-off. He is a regular contributor on CNBC, makes frequent appearances on MSNBC, and is Editor-at-Large for Newsweek. Tom Rogers began his career as a Wall Street lawyer, then as counsel to the U.S. House Telecommunications Subcommittee, where he was a key drafter of the legislation that resulted in the Cable Franchise Policy and Communications Act of 1984—the first federal framework for cable regulation. In 1988, he became the first President of NBC Cable (now NBCUniversal) and Executive Vice President of NBC, founding CNBC, the 24-hour business news channel, and subsequently MSNBC. Tom later served as the longest-tenured President and CEO of TiVo and has overseen iconic media brands such as New York Magazine, A&E, and The History Channel.
