Nicole Sandford. an experienced executive and boardroom advisor, is a Senior Advisor to the Board Practice. She assists Ellig Group’s distinguished team in providing boards and senior executives with advice on the most strategic elements of governance, particularly those related to board competency and diversity.
Nicole was previously Ellig Group’s EVP and Board Practice Leader before becoming the President and CEO of Aspira Women’s Health in 2022. As EVP, Nicole placed candidates – many of them women and people of color – with Fortune 500, private, and start-up companies. She also launched a first-of-its-kind board readiness coaching program which was created to assist executives achieve their corporate board aspirations.
Nicole joined Ellig after nearly three decades at Deloitte where she was appointed to roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately leading the firm’s regulatory and operational risk practice during a period of strategic transformation. She was the founder of Deloitte’s Center for Board Effectiveness and its board diversity initiatives. Following more than 15 years as an auditor for high-growth company’s Nicole’s advisory client work at Deloitte focused on governance, crisis response and regulatory risk management across sectors.
