Re-imagining Hollywood, A Journey Into Gender Equality
In honor of Women’s History Month, we are delighted to bring you this month’s episode of Leadership Reimagined, featuring Madeline Di Nonno, an extraordinary guest whose work embodies the spirit of empowerment and progress. Madeline is the President and CEO of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, the only global research-driven advocacy organization working within the entertainment and media industry to create gender balance, foster inclusion, and impede bias and stereotyping in family entertainment media.
Madeline shares insights into the challenges and triumphs of fostering inclusion and diversity in the entertainment industry. “As we strive to revolutionize Hollywood, we’re not just rewriting scripts; we’re rewriting cultural norms. It’s about infusing more representation of women and marginalized communities organically into storytelling. We’re challenging stereotypes while preserving the authentic voice of narratives, sparking a paradigm shift in the entertainment industry.”
In celebrating the contributions of women throughout history, Madeline and Geena Davis’ pioneering efforts to reshape cultural narratives and amplify underrepresented voices serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for future generations.
President and CEO of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, Madeline Di Nonno is also an executive producer on the Emmy-nominated People’s Choice and Gracie Award-winning television series Mission Unstoppable and the Gracie Award-winning feature film documentary This Changes Everything.
