Restoring Trust: Leadership in an Age of Disruption
We’re pleased to present this month’s episode of Leadership Reimagined, featuring Kirsty Graham, the Chief Executive Officer of Edelman U.S., a global communications firm that partners with businesses and organizations to evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations. With her more than 30 years of experience in policy, communications, and public affairs across government, corporate leadership, and global agencies, Kirsty has seen firsthand the ways trust is evaporating across the world and how many are retreating into insularity. In discussing the Edelman Trust Barometer, Kirsty notes “it’s on all leaders to be able to think of themselves as trust brokers. How to remind people of what unites us rather than what divides us. And in a world of AI, where technology has gotten so much better at mimicking us, maybe we actually have to be better at being human.”
Don’t miss this compelling episode on the impact corporate leaders can make in building trust as “people think of the workplace as the island of civility.”
Kirsty began her career in international diplomacy, spending 16 years in the New Zealand Foreign Service, which included serving as Private Secretary to the foreign minister, Deputy Spokesperson at the British Embassy in Washington, and as New Zealand’s Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations. After her government service, Kirsty joined Pfizer, where she spent a decade in senior leadership roles, including as Head of Global Policy and Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for the Biopharmaceuticals Group, overseeing global communications and policy across more than 125 markets. Since joining Edelman in 2020, Kirsty has held multiple global leadership positions and now serves as a member of the firm’s Global Executive Leadership Team, advising clients at the intersection of business, policy, and society.
