The Collision of Truth, Trust & Technology: A Search for the Soul of Business
We’re pleased to present this month’s episode of Leadership Reimagined, featuring Alan Murray, President of the WSJ Leadership Institute, which he founded to provide peer-learning opportunities for corporate executives. From his early days as a journalist to leadership roles at some of the world’s most esteemed media institutions, Alan has had a front-row seat to the forces redefining business and operated at the intersection of journalism and power. Alan believes, “The companies that win in the future are going to be those that recognize the trust gap and try to bridge it, because they will need that connection with their employees, customers, and the communities in which they operate to succeed.” For decades Alan has shaped how leaders understand markets, policy, capitalism and corporate accountability.
Don’t miss this powerful episode on how AI, geopolitical instability, economic realignment, and the erosion of public trust have fundamentally reshaped both corporate leadership and the media landscape – and what can be done about it.
Alan’s career includes nearly 20 years with The Wall Street Journal, including as the Washington Bureau Chief, President of the Pew Research Center, where he led rapid expansion of the organization’s digital footprint, and Editor-In-Chief then CEO at Fortune Media, where he established Fortune as an independent company and is credited with turning around the media brand. Alan has authored five books, most recently Tomorrow’s Capitalist: My Search for the Soul of Business. He has received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, the Arthur W. Page Center Integrity in Public Communications award, and several journalism awards.
